Our scope work was to commission the PLC-based Energy/Current monitoring system for the feeders connected to the server racks. All the outgoing feeders in the SMDBs and DBs feeding to the server racks have Current sensors that are connected to ABB CMS-600 Control Unit. In addition, energy meters are also available for energy measurements.

The CMS-600 can be used as a highly-efficient-measurement system, even in very large, extensively networked installations. These CMS-600 and Energy Meters are monitored remotely on the AC 500 PLCs through Modbus RS485 interface.
The Energy monitoring PLC is integrated with the project BMS so as to monitor the electrical parameters of each PDUs from BMS station
